Who says there is no housing crisis in Silicon Valley?
A Potrero Hill suite with a bathroom is available for rent in San…
A one-bedroom, one-bath rental for $750 a month is a steal in San Francisco—but only for the right person.
The Potrero Hill studio’s square footage isn’t included in the Craigslist ad listed on Thursday, but the images depict a room that appears to be the size of a walk-in closet in the master bedroom of a suburban home. In fact, this could be a closet because the space seems to lack windows of any sort.
The “furnished” property comes with a twin bed and a bureau that looks like it was purchased at IKEA. A microwave placed atop a mini fridge serves as the kitchen—you won’t be pulling out your Martha Stewart cookbook here.
The property is located at 22nd and Kansas streets right next to the Bayshore Freeway. No pets or smoking.
This isn’t the spot for hosting dinner parties, but if you work long hours, can afford to eat meals out and can lounge on the couch and watch TV at your friend’s house, this might be a steal for you.
It’s definitely below market. The median price for a studio in San Francisco was $2,725 as of this September, according to Zumper.
SFGate reached out to the owner for additional information and hasn’t heard back.
