The roof of Ilam Mougy’s home in San Jose, Calif., Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015. Mougy wanted to go green. He owns two Teslas and wanted to put solar panels on the roof of his home in Communications Hill. He got approval from PG&E, the city and asked the homeowner’s association. Solar City installed a nice array on his roof – and then the homeowners association told him he didn’t own the roof. Mougy and his neighbor have been forced to remove the offending panels. They will remain on his roof for a few more days, until Solar City returns for them. (Patrick Tehan/Bay Area News Group)
