What is the difference between Inbound and Outbound Marketing?!  Most of us know about Outbound marketing which is the shotgun approach where we sent out emails, postcards or a flyers to a huge distribution list hoping and praying that someone would respond!   The fact remains that 98% or more of the folks targeted in Outbound Marketing care little about what we are offering.    And that’s why Outbound Marketing campaigns produce insignificant results while costing a lot of money.  For that matter, if you want to increase the response rate of your Outbound marketing, you need a HUGE distribution list to which would cost your business a lot of money per lead!

However, with Inbound marketing, the searchers are the one’s that find you and if you are smart about you, it won’t cost you as much since you will be able to generate Organic Search Engine Traffic to your site.
For Inbound marketing, your customers use Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing to search for a service or a product.   And if you have done enough Search Engine Optimization on your website, you would appear on the 1st page of the Search Results.

Granted Google wants you to use Adwords to buy advertising to be ranked higher, but that’s a very costly proposition like the Outbound Marketing.    That is not to say that if Adwords don’t work.  In fact, they do work, but the challenge becomes that the minute you stop buying the ads on these Search Engines, your Traffic will also grind to a halt as well.
